AMES, Iowa - Police in Ames say a man whose body was found in a wooded area near the Furman Aquatic Center over the weekend died from suicide.
Police were called to an area near the aquatic center's address at 1635 13th Street at roughly 2:20 p.m. on Saturday where they located the deceased 22-year-old white male.
The man’s name has not been released as of Monday because family had not been notified. Police say he was an Ames resident and not a student at Iowa State University.
An investigation is ongoing.
